Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Word "doc" file or a Word-compatible file with top, bottom, left and right margins set to one inch.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the manuscript Guidelines.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a Times New Roman 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The main text is within 4500-5000 words, excluding the title page, abstracts, references, and biographical information. The abstract is between 150 and 200 words. The biography for authors is within 80-100 words and is included as a separate Word file.

Research Article

The Bhutan Journal of Research and Development [BJRD] accepts original research papers from all discipines with 4000-5000 words in the main text. The abstract should be between 150-200 words. The manuscript submitted to BJRD undergoes rigorous review process: 

The following are the documents required:

1. The manuscript must include:

1. The cover/title page with the manuscript title, author’s name, institutional affiliation, mailing address, email address, and telephone and fax numbers (on a page separate from the body of the article).

2. Manuscript containing an abstract of 150-200 words, main text (4000- 5000 words), tables (if any), figures (if any) and a reference list embedded in the main text.

3. A biographical note in no more than 100 words on a page separate from the main body of the article.
