The Bhutan Journal of Research and Development (BJRD) is the publication of the Royal Univeristy of Bhutan through the Office of the Vice Chancellor (OVC). Established in 2012, the journal is published biannually, with issues released in May and November.
BJRD aims to promote and advance high-quality research and scholarship across education, humanities, social and natural sciences. The journal welcomes a diverse range of scholarly contributions, including theoretical and empirical research papers, review articles, research notes, short communications, and book reviews that contribute to knowledge generation and inform policy.
The journal upholds rigorous academic standards through a blind peer-review process and encourages interdisciplinary scholarship that addresses contemporary issues, emerging challenges, and innovative practices relevant to Bhutan and the broader global context.
Its primary, though not exclusive, audience includes researchers, academicians, policymakers, graduate students, practitioners, and all others interested in research and scholarly inquiry related to Bhutan.
